The Secret - Do You Know?

More than likely, you have heard about the latest sensation sweeping the nation -or the globe for that matter. Oprah Winfrey was so excited about it that she dedicated two shows to it because the response to the first one was so overwhelming that reactions and questions overflowed her website -resulting in the biggest response ever to a single subject in the history of her run on Network T.V. If by some small chance you don’t know what I am talking about, let me back up here.

In 2006 the creator of this world wide phenomenon was “Given the first glimps of a great secret!” Her life was literally falling apart at the seams. Her father died unexpectedly, her personal and professional relationships were suffering and she was at one of the lowest points of her entire life. It was at this time that her daughter Haley gave her a book entitled “The Science of Getting Rich” That had been written in the early 1900s by a man named Wallace Wattles. The book and its contents literally changed her life!

Determined to get the message out she researched its ideas and principles and traced it as far back as the “Jade Tablet” this was an Egyptian Artifact that told of a secret that promised - and more astonishing still, was said to deliver unlimited wealth to any and all who practiced its process! As time went on the Romans got their hands on what they believed was the sacred relic. However, it was not the actual tablet itself, for the real tablet had been buried and someone had merely transferred its duplicate on to a secondary medium unbeknownst to the Roman Empire. It was then said to have been banned by the Roman Catholic Church. As even more time went by, eventually this information found its way back into the mainstream only to be coveted by those who had learned of its potential power and an agreement was then made to not allow its secret to be passed on the the general public. Those who knew the secret wanted to keep it from others -so that they could have more for themselves.

Those who came across “The Secret” by their own means of sheer will and fortitude - became the greatest names in history. Aristotle, Shakespeare, Hugo, Abraham Lincoln, Carnagie and Edison to name just a few…they knew “The Secret”. Now it available to those who wish to implement its principles for control and gain in their own lives. So, you may now be asking “How is this done? As it is explained in the video, there are 3 steps one must fallow to achieve their hearts desire.

Step 1 is first you must Ask.
Be specific and know exactly what it is you wish to manifest.

Believe that what you are asking for is already on its way to you!

Why do two of the leading experts in the field of Quantum Physics lend their support to this concept -in not only this film, but they and many others also appear in the movie “What The Bleep Do We Know?” The understanding of how “What we think about…we bring about!” has suddenly become a key factor of debate within the Scientific Community.

According to “The Secret”, our attention and our thoughts put us in line with a certain “Channel” or “Frequency” this is what is defined as “The Law of Attraction” it essentially tends to give us what we focus on or think about the most. It does not distinguish between what we do and do not want. It instead looks at what and where we continue to give the majority of our time and attention to thinking about. So why are you interested in the “Law of Attraction”?

Obviously, it’s about doing what you really want to do with your life.

We’ve said it repeatedly, quoting the wise man’s adage:

Money and fame do not happiness make.

Of course, they may help in being happy. For example, it’s pretty nice not having to worry about money. Let’s face it… Most people like money. And others like fame, and many like both.

The thing is… money and fame are usually just external confirmations of the fact that you’re being happy and doing what you want with your life already.

If you are, money and fame are usually no issues anymore. You either don’t care about them because you’re being happy anyway. Or (many times) they may come as side-effects, or symptoms caused by the fact that you’re already being happy with yourself and your life.

That’s where the principle of being happy and grateful for what happens to you and the situation you’re in is relevant.

Clearly, money and fame are really different things compared to the desire for money and fame. The desire for implies that you’re not being happy and grateful right now, thinking you need money and/or fame in order to be happy and do what you want with your life.

This feeling of needing (and thus the deeply-ingrained feeling of lack) determines what you send out… the frequency you broadcast if you will. And this frequency ‘attracts’ a like frequency, and this is the mechanism through which needing pushes things away, in simple terms.

Anyway, this is something that has been talked about more at length in other articles, so we’re not going to repeat this anymore.

In this article we want to get into something a bit more concrete… something more practical to use in your life. This might sound straightforward, but upon deeper thought it may just be the greatest word of advice of all time…

You know, according to the American physicist, philosopher and management expert Danah Zohar, doing what you really want with your life requires what she calls ‘Spiritual Intelligence’. It’s about your own, personal, deeper actuating motives.

Zohar says that self-development and purpose/meaning are principles that are central to spiritual intelligence. When you’re in touch with your own ‘inner universe’, you can develop your talents and give full scope to your natural gifts.

As such, you’ll live the life that fully matches who you are (which is not necessarily the life that others think you’re supposed to live). Within yourself, you’ll discover your own actuating motives and what really inspires and motivates you.

Zohar says that when you manage to live your life from that inspiration, you’re quite a happy person. This pretty much connects to what the American psychologist Abraham Maslow (who came up with the so-called ‘hierarchy of needs’ aiming to explain human motivation) called ‘self actualization’.

According to Maslow, self-actualization is the ultimate state of human development, a spiritual condition in which people are creative, ‘playful’, and tolerant. And if you’ve read the myriad of books and articles, you know that these are the very conditions that facilitate the extent to which you can ‘work’ the ‘laws of the universe’ (if you want to call them that).

Guess what? There’s actually a specific group of people who can teach us a lot about this state of ‘creativity’, ‘playfulness’ and ‘tolerance’, or rather ‘spiritual intelligence’…

These people are children. Kids are almost the very paragon of spiritual intelligence.

Obviously, this doesn’t mean we should all start behaving like children. However, we can start to look at the world more like children do. We could start to re-invent and re-discover the qualities that we so often lose in the process of what’s called ‘growing up’ and ‘becoming adults’.

Those qualities are:

Being open
Trust
Sincerity
Being genuine
Curiosity
Eager to learn
Generosity
Feeling adventurous
Wonder and astonishment on the least things…
And not to forget: unconditional love.

Let’s face it… People who are living life like this are pleasant company, both to themselves and to others.

Spiritual intelligence has got nothing to do with religion. Of course, both are fine if pursuing them makes you feel good inside, if pursuing them is your own choice if it’s not imposed on you by others.

No, spiritual intelligence is about self-reflection and intuition. There’s a difference between what many consider ‘being spiritual’ and ‘spiritual intelligence’.

You can do reiki, qigong, meditation, burn incense, do rain dances in wildlife outfits all day and read books about ‘spirituality’. And of course that’s all fine if that makes you feel good.

However, ‘spiritual intelligence’ rather refers to making the choices that suit you and actually consciously experiencing and feeling the satisfaction and feeling of fulfillment and self-realization that come with that.

That’s what’ll make you happy.

So what’s possibly the greatest advice of all time?

REMAIN CHILDLIKE.

Be open. Be adventurous. Be curious. Be eager to learn. Be genuine, not least to yourself. Don’t judge. Acknowledge the wonder of life and the amazing experience it brings.

I mean, it seems so real, doesn’t it?

In the words of the late comedian Bill Hicks:

“The world is like a ride in an amusement park”. And when you choose to go on it, you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it’s very brightly coloured and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, “Hey – don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride…”

And we make fun of those people.

“We have a lot invested in this ride. Shut him up. Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account and my family. This just has to be real.”

Just a ride… But we always make fun of those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok.

But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. A simple one really

A choice, right now, between fear and love.”

So what’s your choice?

Remain childlike. And enjoy the ride!

The Emotional Guidance System

The Law of Attraction states that we attract to our lives what we focus on whether wanted or unwanted.


Every thought is powerful and sends out a message to the universe. The universe does not differentiate whether you like the object or emotion it merely gives you back what you focus on.

When you feel a negative emotion you are blocking yourself from your source and blocking abundance. You then have to shift that negative emotion to better feeling emotion on the scale.


One of the methods to move to a better feeling emotions is Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) which is a natural and effective technique to heal negative emotions. When you feel stuck with negative emotions tapping on the meridian endings releases the negative energy and makes you feel calmer.


It is also important to heal the core issues behind the negative emotions. Suppose you feel anger towards a loved one. Healing past pain caused by this person who has angered you will help you feel lasting peace.


When you are happy and grateful we are connected to the universe, the source energy. When you are connected to your source you are in alignment with your goals.


When you are feeling negative emotions like frustration, impatience, anger etc you are disconnected from your source and we are not in alignment with your goals.


To be vibrating with positive emotions of love and gratitude may require you to make a committed effort towards your healing if you have not already done that. Healing past pain and negative beliefs improves your self esteem and helps you to vibrate with emotions indicated on the higher scale of the emotional guidance system.


The result is that you make peace with your past and you stop fighting the present moment. You vibrate with happy emotions and you are in the process helping in the manifestation of your goals and you become a conscious co creator.

Tap Yourself Rich?

The Law of Attraction has been getting a lot of attention recently. With the popularity of The Secret (both the book and video), books such as the Abraham books by Esther and Jerry Hicks, as well as the many hundreds of ever-popular classics, such as Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, the idea that you can “create your own reality” has never been more fashionable.

There are also skeptics who deny that this is true. They say, “if it was so easy to create your own reality, why are so many people sick, poor and unhappy?” Who would choose such a reality? Even many people who believe in the ideas of positive thinking and the Law of Attraction are secretly afraid that it’s just too good to be true.

Well, my understanding is that the Law of Attraction is 100% true. There is only one catch, and it can be a zinger for those of us trying to apply this principle in our lives. The problem is that most of us have subconscious blocks to our efforts at creating prosperity consciousness and better lives in general.

The fact is, we consciously want all the good things in life, which is perfectly natural. Yet a part of us, often there since childhood, is convinced that we are not deserving, that money is scarce, that it’s not moral to be wealthy or some other such belief that is not consistent with actually manifesting abundance.

There is a simple technique that allows us to almost instantly remove blocks. It is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and is based on the Chinese system of acupuncture (no needles though!) combined with modern psychology. It is so simple in fact, that many people are skeptical that it can really work -until they try it.

EFT works by having us tap various points on our body. This sends energy through the meridians (pathways that energy follows through the body). Tapping is combined with certain dialogue, which can be spoken out loud or too oneself. These are something like affirmations, but more sophisticated in that they are not only positive statements, but a removal of negative beliefs.

This “tapping” technique has been effective at treating a wide range of physical and emotional problems. One practitioner, Brad Yates, has specialized in using EFT for removing blocks to abundance. By tapping on certain points and repeating key phrases, we quickly come to believe that we truly deserve to be prosperous.

People have even reported having long term health conditions drastically improve after a few tapping sessions. This may seem miraculous, but when you consider recent medical evidence that much illness is caused by stress and other emotional conditions, it is not really so farfetched. If we can change the way energy moves through our bodies, we can change many conditions, both emotional and physical. This “trickery,” however, is an important part of the healing process, whether you are talking about a healing mantra or a pharmaceutical drug.

Belief is a very important part of healing -or not healing. This is why almost any method, if truly believed in, can be helpful. With EFT, however, we are talking about something beyond simple belief. When you tap, you are actually stimulating very real energy centers in the body. What’s interesting is that I’ve read cases of advanced EFT practitioners who could get the same effect by simply imagining that they were doing the technique! To a die-hard skeptic, this might suggest that EFT is “all in the mind” and therefore not “scientific.” To me, it just proves how important the mind is in the healing process. That is why EFT can be such a powerful technique. When combined with affirmations and other helpful self-talk, it works on the physical and psychological aspects of ourselves simultaneously.

I believe that the effectiveness of EFT, along with almost all techniques, whether medical, psychological or spiritual, is partly based on what is sometimes deceptively called the “placebo effect.” This means, simply, that the mind “fools” itself, and/or the body that it feels better because of a belief.

Is this technique too easy and simple to really work? Well, that point of view is itself the kind of limiting belief you can literally tap away!

Perceive scarcity, look for evidence of it, and you will find it. Perceive abundance, look for evidence of it, and you will experience it. Perception is powerful, and can even be creative when you maintain it over time. Use your free will to perceive the world of abundance that you choose. There is enough here for all of us. Believe it and you will see it.

Reclaim Your Creativity. It is a fact that you are highly creative by nature. A two year old creating a mess with spilled makeup on the bathroom floor is an original artist. Creativity has absolutely nothing to do with what other people think, yet it is often other people’s opinions by which we judge our creativity. See if you can remember the time or times in your life when someone gave you the impression that you were less than a brilliant creator. Go back to those memories as the adult you are today, and remove your genius child from that stifling experience. Embrace this child of light in your heart, and welcome the rebirth of creative magnificence into your life.

The Law Of Attraction. The law of attraction basically states that we attract whatever we are focusing on, positive or negative. The most intriguing part of this is that we might be thinking a lot about something we don’t want or don’t like, and inadvertently attracting more of that into our lives. This is the risk of getting “bent out of shape” over something and allowing your mind to obsess about that problem or person that is bothering you so much. Segment Intending

It’s been awhile since I heard of the concept of segment intending. I first remember reading about it when I read The Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Most people today seem to have heard of the law of attraction, whether they believe it or not. Basically the law of attraction says that whatever we think about, combined with emotion, we bring into our lives. It doesn’t matter if it is good or bad. If we concentrate on it long enough it will make its appearance.

Segment intending can help you put the law of attraction to work for you. I personally think it is an easier way to keep our thoughts on things we want and off things we don’t want.

We have over 50,000 thoughts a day. How in the world could we ever keep track of those thoughts? We can’t. But we can let our emotions guide us. Stop and notice your feelings. What are you feeling right now? If you are feeling good then you can be assured good things are coming. Are you feeling bad? Then you might want to do something to change that.

Segment intending can help. It helps you from becoming overwhelmed. We don’t have to deal with all 50,000 thoughts. We can break our day up into segments and deal with each segment one at a time. It helps us to become more present and enter the NOW.

Our daily lives can be broken into many segments. For example you awake in the morning, you shower, you get dressed, you have breakfast, you brush your teeth, you drive to work, etc…

Segment intending involves becoming aware of these segments and knowing when you are entering into a new segment. As you enter a new segment become aware of how you feel and what you want from this segment in your life. Some may be simple such as brushing your teeth, others may be harder such as dealing with something at work.

Be diligent. Stay aware of each segment. Perhaps some segments are not as you would like them to be. Use that moment to focus your thoughts on how you want it to be. Picture it vividly in your mind. Feel the positive emotions of having this segment manifest itself to your liking. What you will be doing is paving the way for future segments. Future segments you have created.

No matter how confident you may be, or how insecure you are, we are all works in progress, constantly creating and growing our experiences. This will go on until the day we leave this wonderful world. There will always be another desire for you once you have achieved all your other desires. And there will always be more to aspire to within yourself.

Our lives are supposed to be ‘a work in progress’. No matter how many times you complete a goal, there is always something else to finish. This is what we are here to do, to create and create some more; to always have desires and continually change, attain, and focus on what we want. And though we may sometimes forget to work on focusing on our “wants” instead of on our “don’t wants”, we understand that it is just a part of being human.

There is not one person on this Earth who doesn’t have some kind of issue to be worked on. Some of us wear our issues on our sleeves (sometimes it manifests in the form of extra weight), while others bury their issues deep within themselves so that no one else can see them. But when a person buries an issue so deeply, it can be that much harder to get rid of. You have to bring it up, examine it, and then ‘let it go’. Letting go means no matter the subject, just release all the feelings attached.

Letting go can be a freeing process for yourself. Hanging on to an issue can make you feel weighed down and feel limited by what that particular issue makes you feel. Can it hurt to let go of something that you have been holding onto? Not really, the only hurt comes from not wanting to let go of something that you think you have become comfortable with, even if it’s not good for you.

When you ‘let go’ you are releasing a combination old and new issues, and when you just let them pass through you and you don’t hang onto them, you will be able to shed the negative issue. Issues can delay success with the Law of Attraction because of the old feelings attached to them, and we all know what such thoughts with feelings will attract to you. It’s best to rid yourself of as many of the past feelings that are not good for your life.

A work in progress means that you are constantly experiencing, constantly changing, and constantly growing. Make use of this life of creation and release what you don’t need. Find the life tools that will help you make an easier work-in-progress life by attaining your desires over and over again through the Law of Attraction.

This is a wonderful time in humanity to be able to think freely and find our own truths. Take advantage of all the incredible knowledge to help you along with your work-in-progress life with the Law of Attraction.

But what about the frustration negative emotions associated with the current life situation? Should it be suppressed and avoided? Does suppressing an emotion heal it?

My client Anita was living with a room mate who was constantly borrowing money from her. The room mate along with few of her friends was constantly complaining and wallowing in negativity.


Anita believed in Law of Attraction and was visualizing a new apartment for herself. She was making no headway because she was constantly getting frustrated with the people surrounding her.


When we are happy and grateful we are connected to the universe, the source energy. When we are feeling frustrated, impatient and disconnected from the present moment we are disconnected from our source.


When we are connected to our source we are in alignment with our goals and when we disconnected from our source we are not in alignment with our goals.


We can use the Emotional Guidance Scale as explained by Esther and Jerry Hicks, to check if our current emotional state is helping us in the co creation of our goals.

Anita was operating from Frustration, Irritation, Blame, Anger and Powerlessness which was not helping her in attracting abundance.


We applied Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on the frustration and blame. We also discovered that Anita had a problem saying “No” to people. Whenever they asked for money, though she did not want to give it, she would still give it and then carry resentment. We

worked on the emotions which blocked her from being assertive


With these new changes, Anita was more at peace and she was able to distance herself from the surrounding negative vibes. She was now operating with positive emotions like love and gratitude and soon she was attracting Abundance.


I believe co creation of a goal also brings us opportunities to heal and empower ourselves.


Look at your current life situation. Are you suppressing negative emotions and beliefs? Instead can you bring it the surface and heal yourself.


It is worthwhile to spend time and money to create a strong foundation rather then applying Law of Attraction with contradicting negative emotions and beliefs. It is like driving a car with one foot on the accelerator and the other on the brake.

I am sure all of us have heard from someone or have watched the movie “The Secret”. This movie has taken the world by storm and even Oprah has caught on this buzz and featured it in her show. In the movie, prominent self development gurus like Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale, Esther Hicks are featured. If you have not watched it yet, please do yourself a favor and find a copy to watch it.


So what is all the hype about? The Secret is about the Law of Attraction. This concept is not new. In fact, it has been around for some time starting from Charles Haanel’s Master Key System, Napolean Hill’s Think And Grow Rich and many more.


Law of Attraction states that whatever you think and focus on, you will attract into your life. Sounds simple? I am afraid not. It entails much more than that.


This involves much more than just thinking and focusing. There are many people who tried to use the Law of Attraction that complains that it does not work. Why? This is probably due to the fact that the Law of Attraction can work both ways, in a positive way or a negative way.


It begins with you, your mind and the ability of your mind to control your thoughts and emotions. You must first know and understand how you can control your thoughts. Once you can control your thoughts, you can effectively manage your emotions. For example, if you feel overwhelmed at times, instead of thinking about all the issues at hand, you can shift your thoughts to think if you can resolve all these issues, what are the benefits that it can bring you. However, when you just focus on the issues or problems, the Law of Attraction work too, by bringing more problems to you!


The point is to be able to see beyond the problem, stop thinking about the problem, think of it as an opportunity and focus on its solution instead.


The good news is that after reading this article, you are now aware of the Law of Attraction and how it works. You are one step ahead of the rest of the world!


So stop worrying and focusing on your lack or problems. So instead, channel your focus and thoughts on the what you need by visualizing an image of it. Know and believe that you have the power to change your life and make your life better!

There Are More Millionaires Than Ever In History

The number of people around the world with at least $1 million in assets passed 10 million for the first time last year, according to a new report. And their bank accounts are growing even faster. (Their asset values didn’t include their homes). . . . An increase of 9 percent from a year before.

Charitable Contributions Up 11.7%
America’s 71,000 charitable organizations and foundations dispersed $40.7 billion in 2006, up 11.7% from $36.4 billion a year earlier, according to the Foundation Center, a non-profit organization supporting philanthropy in the U.S. Total assets increased 10%-12%.

Are You Prepared for the Best or the Worst Case Scenario?

You don’t have to go very far to hear about how “bad” things are. The news, in every sector of the economy sounds so foreboding. Things are bad. Even family and neighbors surround us with fearful opinions about what the future holds. And then there’s the upcoming presidential elections and what that could mean for the country. Depending on what side of the fence you’re on - it could get really bad!

I was at a big family celebration this weekend. This is a big election year and naturally the talk was about the presidential candidates, the economy and the potential outcomes of it all. Not one person had anything optimistic, exciting or original to say. It was pretty much all “worst case scenario” type talk. No wonder I was so exhausted the day after the party!

Why doesn’t anybody ever prepare for the “best case scenario”. If you think about it, why do most lottery winners squander all of their money only to end up broke again? Because energetically they haven’t prepared themselves for their best case scenario. They aren’t an energetic match for their prosperity. Can you imaging having several million dollars - several MILLION dollars - only to end up squandering it all and ending up in debt? I hope not! Don’t even go there.

There’s an addictive mental pattern to losing, to poverty, to not enoughness. These are deeply ingrained habit patterns of thought that wear a groove in your brain - your neural pathways. The groove becomes that well worn, comfortable way of thinking. You don’t even know it’s there it’s so prevalent. Can they be rewritten? Absolutely! In fact, they must be rewritten before any lasting good can come into your life.

It is imperative that you catch those old habits of thoughts and write over them. Replace them with thoughts of what it is do you want. Remember the Law of Attraction is active at all times - 24/7. You’re already manifesting what you’re thinking. Why not become masters of your thought and consciously create your experience?

You don’t even know what’s inside your head until it gets queued up by mass consciousness conversation. Rather, it just blends into the background noise of what the masses think and talk about. What is a best case scenario? What would be a best case scenario for you? How do you prepare - energetically - for a best case scenario? Excellent questions for you to consider.

The best case scenario for you is your individual preference. What do you want your finances to look like? What do you want for your future? How about your career, relationship or health?

In these areas write out what you want in the best ossible scenario. How do you want your life to look, what does your day looks like, how does your body feel? What kind of vacations do you want to take? What about our bank account, your friends, your leisure time and activities?

If you feel that this is a stretch for you, that’s okay. If you think you’d be fooling yourself with this kind of thinking - that’s okay too. You see, you have some energetic aligning work to do.

You can get there from where you are. You’ll just have to do it incrementally. Quantum leaping can be uncomfortable. After all, those lottery winners lost what they had because they weren’t aligned. You job is to reach for that alignment.

How do you prepare - energetically - for a best case scenario?
Most of us need to do this a bit at a time. I call this bridging a belief. You take where you currently are in your thoughts and beliefs and make a statement that feels a little better. From there you move up to another better feeling statement. Remember, you need to make statements that feel good to you. They need to feel as if they could be true for you.

The way you feel is key. Abraham-Hicks teaches us that your emotions are your personal emotional guidance system. Your emotional guidance system will tell you every time whether you are pointed in the direction of what is wanted (positive emotion) or pointed in the direction of what is not wanted (negative emotion).
