Certainly you have heard about creating the life you desire, or about making a miracle for yourself…and, if you are like most people (including me) you were skeptical. Well, I decided to do the research.

In Esther and Jerry Hicks book, Ask and It Is Given – Learning to Manifest Your Desires, Abraham says, “ You are the vibrational writers of the script of your life-and everyone else in the Universe is playing the part that you have assigned to them. You can literally script any life that you desire, and the Universe will deliver to you the people, places, and events just as you decide them to be. For you are the creator of your own experience-you have only to decide it and allow it to be.”

In their book, Money, and the Law of Attraction-Learning Wealth, Health, and Happiness, Abraham says, with absolute clarity, “If this time-space reality has within it the ability to inspire a desire within you, it is absolute that this time-space reality has the ability to yield you a full and satisfying manifestation of that same desire. It is Law.”

Abraham describes the three universal laws:

1) The Law Of Attraction – That which is like unto itself is drawn. However you are feeling about all the situations of your life, all of your desires, creates in you a vibration and the Universe responds to that vibration. This law is always at work and there is nothing you can do about it. You cannot influence the Law of Gravity and you cannot influence the Law of Attraction…it simply is and it always works. Abraham says (in The Law of Attraction), “That which is like itself is drawn. The more you come to understand the power of the Law of Attraction, the more interest you will have in deliberately directing your thoughts-for you get what you think about, whether you want it or not!”

2) The Science of Deliberate Creation-The Law of Attraction attracts to you according to your vibrations. Through Deliberate Creation you create better feelings about your life about those things you have and those things you want and move into vibrational harmony with those things, so that you gain control of your life in accordance with the Law of Attraction. Also in The Law of Attraction, Abraham says, “That which I give thought to and that which I believe or expect — IS. If you will pay attention to the way that you are feeling, then a monitoring of your thoughts is not so necessary. Whenever you are feeling good, know that you are, in that moment, speaking, thinking, or acting in accordance with your intentions — and know that whenever you are feeling bad, you are not aligned with your intentions. In short, whenever there is negative emotion present within you, you are, in that moment, MISCREATING, either through your thought, your word, or your action. And so, the combination of being more deliberate about what you want, more clear about what you intend, and more sensitive to the way you feel is, in essence, what the Deliberate Creative Process is all about.”

3) The Art of Allowing – If we could just be the pure Source connected energy that is a part of all of us, we would naturally allow, and our desires would naturally manifest. We would allow ourselves into vibrational harmony with our desire and the Law of Attraction would visibly work immediately. We have learned, however, any number of ways to keep ourselves, because of our physicality, vibrationally out of alignment or harmony. The Art of Allowing is the way we allow and help ourselves to continually move up the emotional vibrational scale and move into vibrational harmony with our desires. Abraham says it (much more clearly), this way, “I am that which I am, and I am willing to allow all others to be that which they are. Rather than trying to get the world to all do the same thing, or to do the things that YOU like, it is a much better plan to put yourself in the position of accepting that everyone has the right to be, do, or have whatever they want; and that you, through the power of your thoughts, will attract unto you only that which is in harmony with you.”

These laws are all there is, and they cover every eventuality. Now, a number of teachers have created what they claim to be other “laws” that have to do with taking action, how long it takes a desire to manifest, and any number of other things. There are no other laws…there are a lot of other beliefs. Not all beliefs are bad, not all beliefs are limiting…some beliefs can be inhibiting however. And, in my view, there is no reason to complicate life. When you concentrate on the three Laws (with a capital L), everything else takes care of itself. The actions will follow as inspired action coming as a consequence of our alignment and harmony and not as acts of desperation trying to influence our alignment. The time it takes desires to manifest will be natural and comfortable. The Universe will take care of the rest.

So, not only can you create the life you desire, or manifest your burning desire, the Universal Laws make it clear that you are, whether you want to or not. Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone were right when they said, “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

Have you ever had thoughts like you were heading down a dead end street, trying to reach your goals? When we attempt reach massive goals it can often become a sure fire way to burn out, if we try to do it all alone. But whatever situation you might find yourself in at the beginning, unexpected obstacles will creep in and it’s how you overcome them and bounce back that ensures your ultimate success.

One very effective way to ensure your success in reaching your goals is by learning how to work in unison with the universal laws. By asking for help and believing that you will have the resources and help required, you’ll effectively eliminate a lot of the pressure that you might feel if you carry the load all by yourself.

If you turn every endeavour into a partnership effort with the universal mind, you can’t lose. By knowing how to interact with the universe by implementing the universal laws in your life, you’ll begin to manifest resources, help, knowledge and anything else you may need that otherwise was out of reach. This will then enable you to relax and “know” that all is in a divine state of grace and as it should be, and at the same time maximising your skills and moving forward efficiently.

In the book by Jerry and Esther Hicks “Ask and It is Given,” they describe an exercise called a “Placemat Process.” This process was invented by Esther through necessity, they were travelling a lot for business and Esther found herself feeling overwhelmed by everything she needed to do on a daily basis.

She worked out a basic way to divide up her duties by asking the universe for help. While she was relaxing over coffee one day, she turned over a placemat and turned it over to expose the blank side. She then took a pen, and divided the mat in two columns, in one she wrote “universe” and the other “me.”

She then listed everything she wanted to manifest from the universe in the column marked “universe,” and in the “me” column she listed what she felt comfortable working on herself. According to Esther, this exercise was extremely effective. And the universe answered every point she wrote, plus her focus was freed up to take care of her action tasks. This is indeed a very powerful partnership!

You can now utilize this exercise yourself, by taking an A4 sheet of paper and write down your action tasks, and those which you feel that you need help from the universal intelligence. What tasks feel to large for you to handle? What parts of your life and work projects are confusing or stressful at present? And what others do you know you’ll handle with no problem? Make sure you “hand write” these tasks on the paper, as the act of writing has magic in it, as opposed to typing. When you’re done, fold the paper up and store it somewhere safe.

You can do this in other ways as well if you don’t particularly like writing things down, for example you could meditate on it, or use self-talk and mental focus to bring the change about. But the best way if you can find your way clear of doing it, is to hand write these points out.

In the long term, it’s not how you list these things out that counts. The point is to gain clarity in your life, know your limits and where you need help. Plus, it also helps you to bring “focus” back into your mind, as we often move so fast in life that we skim over those beautiful little things we take for granted. So by focussing on our goals on a daily basis, we’ll positively move towards manifesting that very thought.

Done on a regular and disciplined basis, you’ll beign to make shifts in your life, which will make living much easier for you. You’ll begin to enjoy your work and life again, and you’ll attract all sorts of synchronistic events and much needed resources into your life right when you need them. This may all be beyond your understanding, but just know that this process truly does work.

As I read through this chapter, “The Law of Sacrifice” from Raymond Holliwell’s book Working With The Law, I wasn’t very comfortable. He speaks of discipline and sacrifice. He talks about Abraham Lincoln as a fine example of discipline. Well, I don’t know about you, but I never wanted to be president and although I have a healthy respect for Abraham Lincoln, I never aspired to be anything like him. It’s almost like he’s to big to compare. Like trying to be Jesus or something.

But the fact is Lincoln was but a mere human. Just like the rest of us. He accomplished great things because he let go of the little things and moved toward the greater. He had the discipline to stay on track and not wander. He always had the big picture in mind. He did not concentrate on the trivial.

But Holliwell paints a rather austere picture. I love to have fun and discipline and sacrifice don’t sound all that fun. In fact quite the opposite. You know what I mean? However, Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey are able to explain the Law of Sacrifice in a way that doesn’t seem so dismal.

Proctor says this of The Law of Sacrifice, “Sacrifice is giving up something of a lower nature to receive something of a higher nature.” So you’re not really giving stuff up, you’re “trading up” so to speak. You’re letting something smaller go for something bigger. More for your money, right?

So the first thing we all need to do is decide what it is we want. And the next step is to determine what needs to change to get us there. What will you give up, let go, or sacrifice in order to get to the place you want to be or have what you want to have. Maybe the money you save by not buying that $5 cup of coffee each morning could go towards the down payment on that sweet new car you’ve had your eye on. Or one of the hours you spend watching TV could be spent exercising and moving toward that stronger, healthier body you’ve been wishing for.

Let go of something of less importance in order to make room for something greater. That feels good. That feels right. It’s like when my kids have to clean out their closets and get rid of the old toys to make room for the new ones they just got for Christmas or their birthdays or whatever. Or cleaning out my closet after each season and making room for the new clothes (and shoes of course :) ). We get rid of the things that no longer fit or are worn out and we make room for the new stuff. We always need to be moving on to bigger and better things.

Life will forever move forward. We wouldn’t want it any other way. Even if everything is great, it would eventually get boring. Change is good. It keeps us fired up and moving on to our next step in life, whatever that may be.

The stories you tell yourself play a vital role in your ability to attract the
leads, prospects, sales and customers you desire in your business — and in your
life. If you’ve been a student of personal success for any length of time, you

Esther and Jerry Hicks, who write the Abraham books, talk about this concept.
In “Money and The Law of Attraction” they speak at length about how vital it is to
reframe your story and start telling it to yourself over and over if you
want better results.

The words and thoughts that go into your story are so important
because they set a vibrational tone. And that vibration is carried with you into
everything you do throughout you day. It’s in the vibration of how you
place your ads, how you speak with your prospects, and most importantly
how you speak with your self. By law of attraction, you get back whatever you put out.

Bob Proctor, one of the featured teachers in the film The Secret, often speaks
about the idea of living your life as if you are the star of your own movie.
Why settle for the role of an extra? After all, it’s YOUR MOVIE, so why wouldn’t
you choose to write yourself into the lead role?

It’s easy to see — and feel — the truth in this message. What stories are
you telling yourself and how are the results you are getting in your business
reflective of them? Once you identify the patterns, you can correct them.

As said earlier, it shouldn’t be surprising at all that telling yourself a
better story is sage advice. It’s prevalent as a theme in all of the self help
teachings.

One of the books that really highlights this principle is The Science of
Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles.
This simple little book has spun countless derivative self improvement programs,
among the more recent being the Inspired Science of Getting Rich Program.

In his book, which was published in 1910, Wattles talks about the importance of
thinking in the “certain way”. He discusses the importance of directing your
will internally and holding the thought of what you want with full clarity and
purpose, regardless of appearances. In other words, keep telling yourself the
better story of where you’re going. Is this starting to sound familiar?

As Wattles explains, thoughts are real things and you create through your
thought. So by deliberately focusing on what you want and where you are going,
you are framing the story you are telling yourself. And then you get to watch
the new story unfold.

Take a look at the results you are getting in your business. Compare the
results you are getting with the expectations attached to that story. Then start
to literally rewrite the story of your business and start living it. Remember
you are the star of your story. So make it a good one.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Law of Attraction and how the essence of the law is that your thoughts attract the things you are thinking about. But do you ever get frustrated that sometimes you focus your thoughts on the things you want but are still not getting the results, or at least, not getting the results you want quickly enough?

I’ve once heard that when dealing with the Law of Attraction, we have to be patient. But the question we are all dying to ask is, “How long do we have to be patient for?”

Some people wait day in and day out to attract what they want but haven’t gotten it yet. It’s possible that somebody who focuses all their thoughts on a shiny, new red car, that it may not come so easily. Although it may be impossible to focus our thoughts 24/7 on the things we want in life, it’s possible to use our emotions to attract what we want quicker.

In Esther and Jerry Hicks book, The Law of Attraction, The Basic Teachings of Abraham, they believe that the more emotion one has when thinking about thoughts, the quicker it is being manifested into one’s physical experience:

Although every thought has creative potential, the thoughts that do not bring great emotion with them are not bringing the subject of your thought into your experience with any sort of speed. When it comes to thoughts that you feel strong emotion about–whether it is positive emotion or negative emotion–the essence of thoughts is being quickly manifested into your physical experience. And that emotion that you are feeling is communication from your Inner Being, letting you know that you are accessing the power of the Universe.

I believe that part of the Law of Attraction that needs to be put into application for those who wish to attract what they want faster. One may begin doing this through imagination and visualization.

For example, if one were to attract a wealthy, abundant life into their physical reality, it might be common to visualize the amount of money they wanted every day. Writing it down on a piece of paper and plastering it somewhere where one could see it every day would be an example of this. But how effective is this in bringing out a genuine desire for that amount of money?

One way to develop this type of desire is think about how wealth and abundance makes them feel. After all, money is just paper. If money didn’t have value than having a lot of it wouldn’t matter. It is the things that money brings people that create the feelings and emotions that people desire.

So a good way of thinking about wealth, prosperity, and abundance is to imagine different ways to how it makes one feel through spending time everyday to communicate with your inner self.

How would it feel if you had an unlimited amount of money? What would you do with it? Where would you go? Would you use this money to help others out? If you did, what would their reactions be? How would you feel seeing their reaction? How would your friends and family view you? How would you view yourself? What is the difference between you now and you before? Do you feel any different at all? Do you feel a sense of freedom and happiness now?

When you spend some time alone and answer these questions, you body may go through positive emotions that will create a desire for wealth.

These are some example questions that evoke feelings from a money mindset perspective. It is not to say that this would only apply to wealth and money, but you can make up a list questions for anything else you wish to attract in your life.

If you are consciously aware of your emotions in every day, you will also notice that you attract things quickly based on the type of emotion and the thoughts you are carrying.

If you wake up in an angry mood, you will go through the day not talking to people or getting angry at the small things about your day. If you are in a depressed mood when you wake up, you will feel sluggish through the day and find everything around you to be bad. On the other hand, if you wake up excited or are in a happy mood, you’ll attract excitement and happiness randomly throughout the day.

So even though thoughts are something that eventually will attract what you are thinking about according to the Law of Attraction, but thoughts that bring a great deal of emotion will bring the things you wish to manifest quicker. I strongly believe that this is true because human beings, by nature, are motivated by emotions and take actions based on their emotions.

If one is more emotionally driven towards what they want by the thoughts they choose, they will naturally take action that is required in order to get there. And that is the purpose of what I think this paragraph is trying to convey to the reader. I hope this helps, and I hope you can manifest whatever is that you want in your life through your chosen thoughts and positive emotions.
